The Rural Florist is a boutique flower farm nestled amongst vineyards in rural Gisborne, New Zealand. The first city in the world to see the sun.

Founded in 2021, we grow and nurture dahlia tubers, sharing the whole journey from tuber to flower. The moment your package arrives at the door. The planting, the watching and waiting, the first bloom, the vase full of flowers on your kitchen table, or picked to share with loved ones. Each stage a small moment of joy that is entirely yours. We love being part of that.

Every variety is grown from our own stock in Gisborne, carefully tended from planting, through lifting, to your garden. Quality is not an afterthought; it is the whole point.
